Poiana Brasov is located 1200 m above sea level and it is the most appreciated national ski resort, situated at the foot of the Postavarul Massif (1802 m), elevation 1030 m. After the 2010s modernization, the ski area has expanded from 50 hectares to 80 hectares and the slopes length was increased from 13.8 km to 23.9 km. A visit to this place and you will leave with a respect for the land. The sheer size, the mountain range, the clean, ozone-rich air, the stunning visuals of the mountains and its surrounding area, will take your breath away.
Actually Poiana Brasov is an all-season resort. In summertime there are several tourist paths, quite well marked and beaten, which lead to the summit, to Brasov City or towards Bucegi Mountains, over Spinarea Calului (“the Horse’s Back”) Ridge. At the entrance in the resort there is a horse-riding center. There are tennis courts, swimming-pools and many other leisure time facilities to make your stay in Poiana as relaxing and pleasurable as possible.
You can visit and explore the area by having daily trips.
